Meet the Board

Nick Geraci, President

My wife and I are retired teachers. Our house is situated where Deeson Pointe Blvd. joins Lake Deeson Pointe, so we see and are seen by pretty much all of you. I'm the guy who's outside most of the time, tinkering with the yard.

For me, the Lake Deeson Pointe Community represents many things; people walking by stop and say hello, people driving by wave, conversations take place at the mailbox, seedlings and saplings are swapped between neighbors, cookies and treats are presented with a “Merry Christmas”.

Coming from the north ten years ago, I was told that it would take a while to get used to the warmth. It didn't take that long to get used to it, because they weren't talking about the weather.

Susan Harding, Secretary

My husband, Alan, and I moved to Florida from England in 1999 with our two sons - Daniel, a personal trainer and nutritionist, and Adam, a young man with developmental disability.

We started and operated an international tax and accounting firm for 20 years before retiring in 2020.

We have served on several nonprofit boards and been involved in fundraising and membership for various organizations including American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Circle of Friends and ROAR Florida.

We are strong advocates for inclusive life opportunities for families and individuals who experience disability.

I love cooking, reading, walking, travel and gatherings with friends and family.  Alan’s passions include music (a drummer in a previous life), cricket, eating my cooking and football (soccer).

Brian Fortin

I was raised in Maine, then moved to NJ, where I opened a flower and gift shop. After 30 years, I sold the business and traveled all over the world. I belonged to a ski club and skied all over Europe.

One of my most memorable adventures was skiing over the glacier field at St. Moritz, then taking off in a hang glider with my skis on, landing at the back door of my hotel with my instructor. There, the hotel manager met me with a glass of champagne. My instructor had OJ.

I also belonged to the Metropolitan Opera in New York City for 40years. I've attended over 250 operas.

I've been on the Board of Directors going on 4 years. I moved to Lake Deeson 16 years ago and have enjoyed every day of living here. Yes, I was a florist, but now, I live in a "green house"...go figure.

Nancy Guthrie

Our family moved to Lake Deeson October, 2012, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We have met and learned more about community at this place than anywhere we have lived. We are blessed with the best neighbors!

I am currently co-chair of the Hospitality Committee and look forward to serving you.

Louis Joseph

Growing up, aside from sports and academia, Louis expressed his creative side through art and music. He attended the New England Conservatory of Music, playing the oboe and saxophone, and competed in several sketching competitions.

Like many creatives, he put his artistic passions to the side to pursue a professional career in Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture. Inspired by his journey as an actor, engineer and entrepreneur, Louis founded iBoss Entertainment in 2021, a media technology and distribution platform dedicated to empowering independent filmmakers, creatives and entrepreneurs to bring their stories to life and share them with audiences worldwide.

When Louis isn't on camera, creating or focused on the vision of iBoss Entertainment, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new experiences, pursuing various hobbies and chasing his energetic young son, Louis Joseph III around the house

Sandy Duhow

My husband Keith and I moved from NY State. We have lived in Lake Deeson PT since 1991.

I am on the Hospitality Committee.

I enjoy music, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Brandon Diehl

Before settling in Lake Deeson in July 2024, Brandon and his family previously lived in Michigan.

They love cheering for the Michigan Wolverine football team, traveling, exploring a hike in a National Park, relaxing at the beach, walking around Disney, or simply cooking a family meal together.

Brandon works for a nonprofit organization and teaches as an adjunct professor. He has a doctorate degree from South University.
